COSTS
The work and licensing fees I charge for commissioned and pre-made pieces and designs depends on the project's nature and details. In your email please be sure to supply me with every piece of information I might find useful concerning your project. If you want an album cover for instance, presenting your band and the upcoming new album (title, concept and direction, links to pre-production sound samples) is a good start, but I need to know when is the project due, who is publishing/releasing it , is there a fixed packaging plan ('our record company is only willing to print a 8 page booklet') etc .

LICENSING COVERAGE
The licensing on any piece I give covers your use of it for the specific album release, any special editions and formats to this release , future re-releases , promotional campaigns (from ads in printed and on-line magazines to band web design) , stage set design, and most important - additional merchandise carrying your band's logo and album title. You can reuse it in everything from shirts to posters as long as it's associated with your band and this album. The artwork is supplied in large resolution (all are larger than a 12'' vinyl cover) so bands can make good quality large format posters to sell at live concerts. I've recently extended my licensing to include this as I got requests from a lot of independent bands that are on a limited budget , so I wanted to make sure that they have a lot of merchandising options. A lot of bands asked for the poster option as the manufacturing costs can be a fraction of what they can go for.
On my end , as the one who created the artwork , I retain it's original copyright (not including band logo and album title , of course) so I can display it in my exhibitions , my art books , my portfolio and fine art prints. And of course I'm not allowed to re-license it to another band , record company or music publisher. I will supply you with a signed formal licensing document with all these points included.

TIMETABLE
The current projects I have lined up tend to form a waiting list, it can range from a couple of weeks to a few months, depending on my workload. So let me know your plans as early as possible, and I will inform you of my current status.

CREDIT AND SAMPLES
I will require 2 copies of each item carrying the artwork for my personal portfolio (within reason , no need to send the stage backdrop ... ).
Credit is required when the artwork is used in CDs , vinyl records and books.

PAYMENT
Payment is made by a bank-to-bank transaction within the European Union, or via PayPal elsewhere. Both done only in EURO currency. I will issue an invoice as well.

FOR ART DIRECTORS ONLY
If you are a designer / art director , both freelance or part of a company, and you use my artwork as part of your own design, a distinct clarification of the credit is necessary : When the artwork licenced for the album is used as part of a greater design project my credits shall be separate from the designer/art director , in order to prevent the viewers assumption that anyone else has created the original artwork used as the album cover. This rule applies as well when the artwork is displayed on your portfolio, both printed and digital/web based , and in press releases (both printed and on-line).
