COVER ARTWORK + FULL PACKAGE ILLUSTRATION AND DESIGN

Had the pleasure of creating the whole artwork for the 9th studio album by thrash metal titans Testament - out on Nuclear Blast records. Featuring Paul Bostaph (Slayer, Exodus, Forbidden) on drums alongside the original line-up of Chuck Billy, Eric Peterson, Alex Skolnick and Greg Christian. Like with Mekong Delta, I had the honor to give my opinion when choosing between two optional album titles, as once again the artwork was conceived before the final lyric set.

Being on the subject of honor , last 3 Testament albums were done by Dave McKean , who's one of my all time heroes, so you can imagine how psyched I am about this one . The album comes with a fully illustrated 20-page booklet , and a deluxe double digibook edition - Eric Peterson handled all matters of concept and direction and closely supervised the process with endless enthusiasm , resulting in the most detailed project I ever took.

9/5/08 Update : The album landed on the US BILLBOARD chart at #59.
other international chart entries were : #15 in Germany , #23 in Austria , #29 in Norway, #32 in Sweden, #33 in Switzerland, #94 in Canada and #186 in UK.

11/8/08 Update : I'm adding a few shots of the 60x30 feet backdrop that was printed for the 'Damnation Vacation' 2008 world tour . Top 3 feature yours truly in Bologna (Italy) , and the lower one was taken by Karen somewhere in the states during Testament's nation-wide tour with Judas Priest , Black Sabbath and Motorhead.
